Glass. Water. Light. Color. The Murano, named after the famous Italian island known for its spectacular colored glass, combines these four elements into a fluid design, making it a standout in an area of New York known for its creative edge: Long Island City. A computerized system lights the lobby walls and exterior of Murano in a different hue every hour on the hour, transforming the all-glass building into a glowing, sculptural wonder. Surrounded by a serene water feature, the Murano is a beacon of light, heralding new life, limitless possibility, and inspired living to those who like to color outside the lines.

Brilliant LED lighting effect. Innovative water feature. All-glass design. Inspired community areas. Murano is more than the sum of its parts. Its unusual architectural aspects create a seamless and singular experience designed to inspire happiness and well-being. A "green" building, the Murano utilizes green finishes throughout and eco-friendly building materials wherever possible. Think visionary design meets eco-savvy living. Green has never looked so good.

lobby

Residents and guests literally cross a small bridge, passing over a serene tributary of water, from street-level to enter the Murano. A second water feature - another bridge that stretches over water and leads beneath the building itself - signals arrival. The edge of the water matches the edge of the building, giving the visual sensation that the Murano is floating in mid-air with water below and a reflective - clad building above. Once inside, the Murano lobby completes the sense that residents have been transported to a new world and have left the harshness of the city behind. A LED wall emits twenty-four different, soothing displays of color, one for each hour of the day. This urban clock sets the tone for the rest of the Murano experience and brilliantly captures the pulse and rhythm of the city while keeping it relaxingly at bay. At once chic yet edgy, modern yet classic, the lobby is every bit as stylish as the Murano interiors. A picture-perfect welcoming to the Murano way of life.
